KRW Stablecoin Architecture: A Blueprint for KRW-Pegged Stablecoin Infrastructure
This proposal consolidates the essential requirements and implementation strategies—spanning both technical architecture and operational policies—to ensure that a KRW-pegged stablecoin functions not merely as a digital token, but as a secure and reliable infrastructure for payment and settlement.
A stablecoin is more than a simple "mint and burn" mechanism. It must be designed from the ground up as an "operationally viable integrated system" that encompasses legal liability, reserve asset management, redemption processes, compliance (AML/Sanctions), auditability, and incident response. While regulatory discussions are currently underway, specific technical and operational blueprints for actual system implementation remain relatively underdeveloped.
This document focuses on the technical and operational elements necessary for real-world application. It first outlines core technical requirements, including smart contract control functions, wallet and custody structures, back-office infrastructure for issuance and redemption, KYC/AML monitoring, and node/RPC reporting. It then details how these technical components expand into a robust framework for "Operation and Control"—defining separation of duties, approval workflows, exception handling, emergency mode transitions, and auditable logging and reporting systems.
